Sustainability is at the heart of our brand, it is the foundation of everything we create. The core concept of Atelier Sirène began with sourcing vintage silk scarves, both designer and non-designer, and transforming them into modern silhouettes - repurposing forgotten pieces and giving them a new life. Every collection is produced with intention, balancing elevated aesthetics with responsible choices and a slower approach to fashion.
Step One
CURATE
Firstly, we build each collection around a central inspiration — whether drawn from a time period, artistic movement, or cultural reference that resonates with us. From there, we connect that vision to seasonal trends, colour palettes, silhouettes, archival collections from major design houses, and textile references to shape a cohesive direction for the scarves and pieces we create.
Step two
SOURCE
We then visit antique fairs, vintage boutiques, and private collectors to source one-of-one silk textiles with history, character, and potential to be wearable in the modern world, carefully selecting pieces whose motifs, colours, and textures align with the spirit and narrative of each collection.
Step Three
STRUCTURE & DESIGN
We carefully study each scarf to decide placement, neckline, orientation, and drape, whilst exploring which prints and textiles are best suited to different silhouettes. We continuously experiment, refine, and develop new designs, restoring minor imperfections where possible and embracing only subtle, character-defining traces.
Step Four
HAND TAILOR
Every piece is individually cut, shaped, and hand sewn using couture-inspired craftsmanship. Each textile is thoughtfully transformed into a modern garment, giving every scarf a second life.
